CentOS 7 EOL
TelcoBridges Products and CentOS 7 End of Life
TelcoBridges TMedia and ProSBC products are built on top of a Linux Distribution that is customized by the TelcoBridges software engineering team for the specific purpose of a telecommunication platform.
The CentOS 7 Linux distribution was originally used as the main source for third-party packages in TelcoBridges' operating system. Following the announcement by RedHat that CentOS 7 was end of life as of June 2024 and that they will no longer make the source code for RHEL available, some customers may be concerned about the continuous availability of bugfixes and security patches for their TelcoBridges products.
TelcoBridges maintains its own repository called TelcoBridges Linux (tbos). Our products do not have a “hard” dependency on CentOS or RHEL, and the open-source packages that we use remains available from multiple sources, including their original maintainers. Rest assured that TelcoBridges will continue to provide bugfixes and security patches for the TMedia and ProSBC software to all customers with a support contract.
At some point in the future it may be necessary for our customers to perform an upgrade in order to continue receiving software patches. Our support team will provide advance notice and assistance when that happens.
