Creating an N+1 Group

N+1 indentifies the N+1 patch panel providing backup protection. To assign a device as the N+1 patch panel, you must use the Tmedia Web Portal.

To create an N+1 Patch Panel:

1- Click N+1 in the navigation panel



2- Click Create New N+1 Group



3- Enter the name of the Patch Panel.

  • Set the correct serial number of a unit to the correct patch panel port.
  • Enter the location of the device
  • Enter a meaningful description for the device.
  • Click Create



4- Verify that the newly added N+1 patch panel appears in the N+1 Patch Panels list.
