Early media consists of opening the data path before the call is answered on the calling side. This feature enables the playing of custom ring-tones.
TelcoBridges and Early Media
TelcoBridges' Tmedia and Tdev devices support early media. Toolpack can handle early media in 2 different ways:
- Introduce a stream to the incoming call leg
- Relay the stream from the outgoing call leg to the incoming call leg
