Host control
Starting with Toolpack 2.5 a series of task are available to run from the host control panel (servers on which Toolpack is installed). The host control panel is accessed from the host status page. Its goal is to provide a common way to run Toolpack specific tasks, such as:
- Upload a license
- Upload a Toolpack package
- Upgrade the host's packages (tblinux only)
- Shutdown a host
- Check control action status
Upload a license
Although it is still possible to manually copy the license to the appropriate folder on the host, this Upload action will take care of that task. It enables you to choose the license file to upload, and then install the license. Once this action is completed successfully, the OAM application loads the license and installs it on the appropriate TMedia unit. This will require a reboot of that unit.
Upload a Toolpack package
This task uploads and installs the Toolpack installer on the specified host. You must still create a package and activate it so that the upgrade is applied at a suitable time.
