&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;New page&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div&gt;Statistics are gathered to measure the [[MTP2 Layer|MTP Level 2]] software performance. This information can be used to determine the distribution of traffic loads and the [[quality of service]], and to assist in MTP Level 2 software debugging. Statistical information conforms to CCITT standard [[Q.752]].&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;
Statistics information can be gathered at any time by the host. Collection of statistics information may or may not result in the counters being reset.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The following statistics are available for query/display:&lt;br /&gt;
*The &amp;#039;In service duration&amp;#039; parameter indicates the time since the link was aligned last time&lt;br /&gt;
*The &amp;#039;Local busy duration&amp;#039; parameter indicates the total time for which link remained locally congested&lt;br /&gt;
*The &amp;#039;Number failure counter&amp;#039; indicates the total number of times link has failed for any reason&lt;br /&gt;
*The &amp;#039;Number abnormal failure&amp;#039; counter indicates the number of times link has due to 2 out of 3 consecutive abnormal backward sequence numbers or forward indicator bits&lt;br /&gt;
*The &amp;#039;Number acknowledgement failure&amp;#039; counter indicates the number of times link has failed due to excessive delay in acknowledgment from the remote end (T7 expiry)&lt;br /&gt;
*The &amp;#039;Number error failure&amp;#039; counter indicates the number of times link has failed due to excessive error rate on the link ([[SUERM]] threshold reached)&lt;br /&gt;
*The &amp;#039;Number congestion failure&amp;#039; counter indicates the number of times link has failed due to excessive congestion on remote end (T6 expired)&lt;br /&gt;
*The &amp;#039;Number alignment failure&amp;#039; counter indicates the number of times proving/alignment attempt has failed on the link&lt;br /&gt;
*The &amp;#039;Number signal unit error&amp;#039; counter indicates the number of signaling units received in error on the link&lt;br /&gt;
*The &amp;#039;Number negative acknowledgment&amp;#039; counter indicates the number of times negative acknowledgment has been received on the link.&lt;br /&gt;
*The &amp;#039;Number SIF/SIO transmitted&amp;#039; counter indicates the number of SIF/SIO packets transmitted.&lt;br /&gt;
*The &amp;#039;Number bytes retransmitted&amp;#039; counter indicates the number of octets retransmitted on the link.&lt;br /&gt;
*The &amp;#039;Number information frame&amp;#039; transmitted counter indicates the number of information frame transmitted on the link.&lt;br /&gt;
*The &amp;#039;Number LSSU transmitted&amp;#039; counter indicates the number of LSSU frame transmitted on the link.&lt;br /&gt;
*The &amp;#039;Number FISU transmitted&amp;#039; counter indicates the number of FISU frame transmitted on the link.&lt;br /&gt;
*The &amp;#039;Number SIF/SIO received&amp;#039; counter indicates the number of SIF/SIO packets received on the link.&lt;br /&gt;
*The &amp;#039;Number information frame received&amp;#039; counter indicates the number of information frame received.&lt;br /&gt;
*The &amp;#039;Number receive ready frame received&amp;#039; counter indicates the number of &amp;quot;Receive ready&amp;quot; frame received.&lt;br /&gt;
*The &amp;#039;Number receive not ready frame received&amp;#039; counter indicates the number of &amp;quot;Receive not ready&amp;quot; frame received.&lt;br /&gt;
*The &amp;#039;Received peak bandwidth&amp;#039; parameter indicates the maximum bytes received in one second.&lt;br /&gt;
*The &amp;#039;Received current bandwidth&amp;#039; parameter indicates the number of bytes received in the last second.&lt;br /&gt;
*The &amp;#039;Transmit peak bandwidth&amp;#039; parameter indicates the maximum bytes transmitted in one second.&lt;br /&gt;
