Electrostatic discharge (ESD) can damage equipment and impair electrical circuitry. This may occur if electronic printed circuit cards are improperly handled and may cause complete or intermittent failure.&lt;br /&gt;

|Always follow ESD prevention procedures when removing and replacing modules:&lt;br /&gt;
* Ensure that the equipment is grounded.&lt;br /&gt;
* Wear an ESD-preventive wrist strap and ensure that it makes good contact with your skin. Connect the wrist strap clip to an unpainted surface of the equipment or the grounded equipment rack in order to channel away all ESD voltage safely to ground. To guard against ESD damage and shocks, the wrist strap and cord must be in proper working condition.&lt;br /&gt;
* If no wrist strap is available, and you must work with the equipment, ground yourself by touching a metal part of the chassis.&lt;br /&gt;

The following table lists the various 1+1 patch panels that you will receive based upon the type of 3200 series telecom unit integrated in your 3200 series 1+1 system.&lt;br /&gt;

Connect the wrist strap clip to an unpainted surface of the equipment or the grounded equipment rack in order to channel away all ESD voltage safely to ground. To guard against ESD damage and shocks, the wrist strap and cord must be in proper working condition.&lt;br /&gt;
* If no wrist strap is available, and you must work with the equipment, ground yourself by touching a metal part of the chassis.&lt;br /&gt;

* Wear an ESD-preventive wrist strap and ensure that it makes good contact with your skin. Connect the wrist strap clip to an unpainted surface of the equipment or the grounded equipment rack in order to channel away all ESD voltage safely to ground. To guard against ESD damage and shocks, the wrist strap and cord must be in proper working condition.&lt;br /&gt;
* If no wrist strap is available, and you must work with the equipment, ground yourself by touching a metal part of the chassis.&lt;br /&gt;

*Climate controlled room: 0 to +50 Celsius, 0 to 95% non-condensing humidity.&lt;br /&gt;

===Vertical Placement of the Equipment===&lt;br /&gt;
The 3200 series standalone, 3200 series +1, and 1+1 Patch Panel are each housed in a 1U chassis, as tabulated below. It is important that you provide for enough room on the equipment rack to allow for the installation of the equipment.&lt;br /&gt;

Consider the available space on your equipment rack and the height of the 3200 series gateway equipment. Due to the rear-exhaust heat vents and the efficient heat dissipation design, there is no need to leave any physical vertical space above or below the 3200 series gateway equipment on the equipment rack.&lt;br /&gt;

*TMG7800-TMS: This device is optional. The TMG7800-TMS is a non-blocking media switch that enables port to port switching between the TMG7800 gateway units of the same cluster. The TMG7800-TMS uses an any-to-any TDM switching fabric to minimize delay and maximize voice quality (unlike other technologies that use a packet technology that introduces delay). The SIP Emergency Call Handling allow for the identification of emergency SIP calls and their reservation of licensed resources.&lt;br /&gt;

During establishment of a SIP session each rule are tested. When one rule matches the remaining rules are skipped. It is how the actual configuration of the device takes place. Using the Web Portal you tell the device about the available network resources, how to manage the different [[Voice codecs|media formats]] that may be encountered, as well as how to originate, respond to, and manage phone calls or faxes.&lt;br /&gt;

With its operations, maintenance, administration and provisioning (OAM&amp;amp;P) capabilities, the Web Portal is also the principal interface for day-to-day interactions with the equipment, such as viewing statistics and alarms, providing continuous system performance and health monitoring.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
You can also use the Web Portal for more point-in-time requirements, such as performing software upgrades, modifying existing production systems to meet new business requirements, or adding new devices or capacity to existing production systems.&lt;br /&gt;

The Web Portal also facilitates configuration management, with the ability to create, validate, and then push out new device configurations. It also supports the ability to easily roll back to previous production configurations as well.&lt;br /&gt;

You connect to the Web Portal with a web browser such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome. The address you connect to will be either the LAN machine name or the IP address of the device, followed by the port number. The default port number is 12358.&amp;lt;br /&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
